The Monitor 8” standard industrial pitless unit from Baker Water Systems is an NSF 61 certified pitless unit. NSF 61 is a set of national standards that establishes stringent requirements for the control of equipment that comes into contact with either potable water or products that support the production of potable water. Baker Water Systems is the first and only manufacturer of pitless units to offer full NSF 61 approval.

The Monitor 8” standard industrial pitless unit is a specialized piece of equipment used to complete a municipal or industrial water well. It attaches to a well casing and provides a sanitary underground discharge to the water treatment facility. It is manufactured using a cast spool and discharge body. All water passages are either hot-dipped galvanized in lead-free zinc or constructed of corrosion-resistant material.

It is shipped as a complete factory pressure-tested industrial pitless unit, which includes the watertight premium well cap, upper bury depth casing extension, discharge body, spool, discharge and drop connection, lift-out bail, and hold-down assembly. The hold-down pipe also serves as a lift-out pipe for installation and assembly. Epoxy painting is available if needed to provide additional protection in certain types of soil. The Monitor 8” standard industrial pitless unit can be installed quickly and easily without the need for masonry or building construction.

Servicing the Monitor 8” standard industrial pitless unit is simple. Just remove the well cap, which has been designed to remove easily without disconnecting cables. Neoprene O-ring seals between galvanized surfaces on the spool provide positive seals and permit you to withdraw the entire inner assembly by simply lifting it. Replacing it is just as simple.
